Distance from Nairobi is 155 km; the most convenient transfer is by car.
The third largest (584 sq. Km.) Kenya Aberdare National Park is among the top three among the most visited nature reserves after the Masai Mara and Lake Nakuru. It is part of the 70 km long mountain chain, which extends far beyond the boundaries of the park. The average height of the chain is 3000 m, and the two main mountain peaks reach almost 4000 meters. To conquer these mountains is extremely difficult and risky because of frequent and heavy rains. In Aberdare you can see buffalo, rhinoceroses, antelope cannons, elephants, leopards, monkeys, boar-warthogs. On the slopes of high mountains, equatorial mountain vegetation grows.
