tour “Climbing Kilimanjaro Umbwe Route 8 days (6 days climbing, 2 days at the hotel)”
от $1830

Umbwe's route is one of the most solitary on Kilimanjaro, it starts in the rainforest and goes parallel to the Machame route, converging at the Barranco Camp camp, at around 3800 meters. Climbing Umbva, you will see all the climatic zones of Kilimanjaro, starting from the rainy forest and ending with the famous glaciers.

Climbing Umbva is one of the shortest routes to Kilimanjaro, while properly located camps will allow you to get a balanced program of high-altitude acclimatization. The route is rarely visited by commercial expeditions, but at the same time it is regularly used on high-speed marathons, when races on the Uhuru peak.

On this day you have to make a long tracking with a large set of heights, so do not rush, it is important to choose the right pace for yourself and try to follow it throughout the climb. Also, take with you raincoats, as this route provides a transition through the rainforest, where tropical rains are likely to go.  To your arrival in the camp, the escort team will prepare everything you need, arrange tents and prepare dinner for you .. This will be your first day at this altitude, so it is strongly recommended that you follow the following instructions:   • Give up caffeine and alcohol • Drink 4 liters and more bottled water daily (it is better to drink a little, but often) • If you have signs of a mountain sickness, take a tablet of Diamox. Most climbers take Diamox from the morning until the beginning of the ascent, which helps to reduce the discomfort from mountain sickness. It is recommended to consult with your doctor for allergenic reactions.   At night, you may have an uncomfortable feeling of acclimatization: due to a decrease in the activity of breathing, oxygen comes in even less than in the day, and taking into account the height, the likelihood of nausea and headache increases at times. Therefore, be attentive to your condition and if you have the first signs of a mountain sickness, please contact the guide. Accommodation: Bivouac camp
