After a short procedure for obtaining mountain permits and registration in the rescue service, the group will begin tracking to the first camp of your route Mti Mkubwa (2750 m), on this day you must take with you raincoats, as you will walk through the rainforest. You will receive lunch boxes, you can also buy mineral water in the village. To your arrival in the camp our certified escort team will prepare everything you need, arrange tents and prepare dinner for you. After lunch there will be an acclimatization exit towards Shira camp 1, climbing 300 m, then descending back to Mt. Mkubwa camp where a hot dinner is prepared for you. This will be your first day at this altitude, so it is strongly recommended that you follow the following instructions:
• Give up caffeine and alcohol
• Drink 4 liters and more bottled water daily (it is better to drink a little, but often)
• If you have signs of a mountain sickness, take a pill of Diamox. Most climbers take Diamox from the morning until the beginning of the ascent, which helps to reduce the discomfort from mountain sickness. It is recommended to consult with your doctor for allergic reactions.
At night, you may have an uncomfortable feeling of acclimatization: due to a decrease in the activity of breathing, oxygen comes in even less than in the day, and taking into account the height, the probability of nausea and headache increases at times. Therefore, be attentive to your condition and if you have the first signs of a mountain sickness, please contact the guide.

Turn left to the ridge and after an hour or so, you reach the camp of Barafu. Barafu - this word in Swahili translates as "ice". Up to the top there are still 1345 m, and you will make the final ascent on the same night. Prepare your equipment, ski poles and warm clothes .. Climbing is technically quite simple, a much more serious problem is the height! You will go towards Stella Point, located on the crater of the crater. For many climbers, a 6-hour ascent to the Point Stella Point is psychologically and physically the most difficult on the route. In Stella Point (5685 m) you will stop for a short rest.
The time you spend on climbing will largely depend on the weather conditions. Do not stop here too long, because of the cold and fatigue it will be extremely difficult to start again. Throughout the whole climb, each participant will be assigned its own guide, which will monitor your physical and moral condition (if desired, after successfully exiting to peak Uhuru, you can also go down to the nearest glacier). Next, you will return to the camp of Barafa, where a two-hour rest will take place, after which you continue the descent to the Millennium camp (3100 m).
Note: Do not forget, 90% of the incidents occur on the descent, all the broken legs / hands were damaged exactly on the descent. Also great attention to the legs, you can knock your fingernails off.
